About > Bob Hayward

A Christian and father of four children, Bob is a highly experienced consultant, facilitator and speaker, specialising in strategic internal communication and employee engagement. His approach is heavily influenced by the work of Deming, Senge and Bengt-Arne Svennberg. Feedback on his work is high in both levels of client satisfaction and of tangible impacts on business results.

He started his career within the National Health Service, before moving into a field sales role. He then developed a highly successful career in the specialist employment agency field. Starting as a Temp controller and Tele-sales person for Hospital and Commercial Personnel Ltd, a small London-based medical secretarial agency, he created the nursing and paramedical divisions. Within four years he was made Sales and Operations Director of the whole group with a turnover of just under £6 million. He took over as Managing Director at Standby Staff Ltd, in 1989 with responsibility to develop a new high street brand.

In 1992 Bob joined Dale Carnegie Training, as a Business Consultant and Trainer. He ran programmes in areas such as leadership, management, presentation skills, team and personal development. Bob also trained as an assessor in The European Foundation for Quality Management Assessment Process and in measuring the “return on investment” from training.

In 1997, Bob set out to apply best practise in talent selection, organisational evaluation and the design of project specific high impact business interventions. Bob is renowned for uncovering hidden potential in teams and process and turning into actual business performance. By his coaching of individuals, training of teams at all levels and design of internal communication initiatives clients have noted tangible skill, process and business improvements. Bob is renowned for turning potential into actual performance. He has clients across the UK as well as Europe and even Sri Lanka.

In 2001 Bob ran 33 Marathons in 40 days from Lands End to John O'Groats to raise money for a burns victim ~ Podge who was torched when he was 12 resulting in 61% third degree burns ~ as part of a campaign to Give The Lad A Chance.

In 2005 Bob ran six marathons in six days across Death Valley. to help raise the £35,000 required to fund a new Charity for his home town (Swindon) called Swindon Food Bank which is feeding those in crisis.
